Turkey on the Brink

This is interesting...

And this makes it more so...

I am watching this very closely now, since with the advance of ISIL from Syria into Iraq, the revival of the Kingdom of the North (the Seleucid Empire) would be accomplished in one fell swoop if Turkey moved and took over ISIS. The door would then be open for the contemptible one to step forward.

If Turkey did invade and secure the area, it's not like any territory won is going to be returned to Assad (especially from a NATO ally). Furthermore, the U.S. would likely welcome such, since it would then finally have the means of keeping allied boots on the ground in Iraq to quell the contentious Sunni population.

The Antichrist would not have to immediately thereafter come to the fore, but nothing prophesied would stand in his way except, perhaps, the breaking of the sixth seal. If Turkey invades and takes over the Islamic State, it can only be a matter of days, weeks, maybe a couple of years until the Antichrist arises.

There is one wrinkle I should at least acknowledge: it is possible that ISIS could instead take over vast swaths of Turkey and thus produce the revival of the Kingdom of the North. This is much less likely at this point, but ISIS is growing in every way every day. I could see the potential of an ISIS surge which ended up gaining fifth-column Turkish support. Stranger things have happened!

  1. The sooner the better in my opinion. Things have been seismically active around the pacific rim lately. Recent volcano suddenly erupting in Japan, earthquake in California. It's all table setting to me. You know dinner is close when the plates, forks, knives and napkins are all put in their place. The global prophetic place settings are really taking shape which makes me believe it's just about time to enjoy a nice celebratory meal at the Lords table!! Now where's that dinner bell ;-)

    1. Things are in place, which means we live in the fullness of imminence. We are at a point where nothing more needs occur which would be significant of the Rapture. At any given moment we could be out of here. Blessed is he who is awake and keeping his garments clean.

    2. I thought about ISIS being the revival of the King of the North as well. However, I am a bit unsure about it for a few reasons. Dan. 8:9 in speaking of the little horn that will grow into the antichrist describes his growth in terms of "to the South and East towards the beautiful land". That reference only makes sense when looking at it from the perspective of Turkey (Birthplace of the Seleucid Kingdom). If it were applied to ISIS they seem to be growing to the East, South and the West and to take Turkey, the North. Further, ISIS is doing well because they are fighting the ill-equipped Kurds. Thanks to the generosity of the retreating Iraqi's, ISIS has acquired a lot of US military equipment and has an advantage over their current foes. Turkey has a military equipped for modern warfare to include an air force. I don't think Turkey would have much of a problem defeating ISIS if they chose to do so. I would be inclined to believe that Turkey (Satan's homeland) is at some point going to get into the fight.

    3. I share your geographic perspective in general, but the Antichrist doesn't need to actually arise from within ISIS. For instance, let's say ISIS does the unthinkable (at this point) and sweeps into Turkey proper and ends up controlling a swath of territory along the Syrian border. In response, could an interloper (maybe a general) arise against the ineffective resistance of Istanbul, take matters into his own hands and take over the whole thing? The direction of growth (south, east and toward Israel), if representing precision, would actually favor a little horn eruption in the neighborhood of Kobani, which is super interesting given the state of affairs today.
